Project Coordinator – Cost

Department: Operations
Location: Odessa, TX

Project Coordinator – Cost (On-Site, West Texas)

Help drive the financial engine behind mission-critical construction projects powering the future of AI.

At GCON, we’re not just delivering buildings—we’re delivering the infrastructure that supports next-generation technology. Our work in West Texas is part of a major data center development tied to the rapid expansion of AI and cloud computing. These are complex, fast-moving projects where precision, coordination, and financial discipline are critical to success.

This opportunity stands out not only for the scale and impact of the work, but also for its setting. Located in a remote area of West Texas, this is a fully on-site position that offers a uniquely immersive project experience. You’ll work side-by-side with project teams in the field, gaining hands-on exposure to large-scale construction operations.

Position Overview

The Project Coordinator – Cost plays a critical role in supporting the financial operations of large-scale construction projects. This position sits at the intersection of project execution and financial management, helping ensure that billing, invoicing, and cost tracking processes run smoothly and accurately.

This is an ideal role for someone who understands the fundamentals of accounting or bookkeeping and is eager to apply those skills in a dynamic, project-based environment. You don’t need a formal finance degree—but you do need strong financial acumen, attention to detail, and the ability to manage high-volume workflows.

Why This Role Is Different

This is not a traditional accounting role tucked away from operations. You’ll be embedded within the project team, working in real time to support financial decisions on a major construction program.

You’ll gain experience with:

  • High-volume billing operations (supporting $3–4M in daily invoicing)
  • Real-time cost tracking and financial coordination
  • Large, technically complex construction projects
  • Cross-functional collaboration between field teams, project managers, and accounting

If you’re looking to grow into roles in cost engineering, project controls, or construction finance, this position offers a strong foundation.
